Privacy
No accounts, nothing sold
There's no login or signup on Vibistic Learning, or anywhere else in the Vibistic portfolio. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers or data brokers. Cloudflare, which hosts this site, also runs its analytics (see below). Your notes and test progress live only in your browser's own storage (or, if you opt in, an end-to-end encrypted backup only you can restore with your own recovery code), never on our servers.
The visitor counter
This app shows a small counter with two numbers: how many people have ever visited, and how many are here right now. To count a visit only once per visitor rather than once per page view, our server computes a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address and browser's user-agent string, combined with a secret value only this server knows. That hash (never your raw IP address) is what gets stored, alongside when it was first seen.
This hash is a pseudonymous technical identifier, not an anonymous one in the strictest sense, and we want to be precise rather than say "no data is collected" when that wouldn't be accurate. It cannot be reversed back into your IP address or user-agent without the secret value, it's never linked to any account (there are none), never linked to anything you type or read here, and it's used for nothing beyond this aggregate count. No cookie is set and nothing is stored in your browser for this feature.
This is a best-effort, decorative counter, not a precise analytics platform: the same person can be counted more than once (a change in network or device looks like a new visitor), and multiple people sharing one network connection can be undercounted.
Separately, your IP address is briefly checked, in memory, against a rate limit before a visit is counted: standard abuse-prevention against automated flooding, the same way most websites protect any public endpoint. This check does not write your IP address to any database or log of ours; it's distinct from the stored hash described above, which never contains your raw IP address at all.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
To see how many people visit and which pages they read, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare already hosts this site, and adds its small analytics script to each page. That script uses no cookies or local storage, doesn't fingerprint your browser, and doesn't follow you across other sites. It sends Cloudflare things like the page you viewed, the site that linked you here, your browser and device type, your country, and how fast the page loaded, and we only ever see those as totals, never as a record of you. It's never used for advertising. Cloudflare describes it here.
Theme preference
Clicking the light/dark/system icon in the header saves your choice in a small cookie namedvibistic-theme. It stores only which of those three you picked, nothing else, and it's shared across every Vibistic subdomain (learn., classroom., circuits., visa., passport., and vibistic.com itself), so your choice looks the same everywhere in the portfolio rather than resetting each time you move between apps. It's set only when you click the icon yourself, or once, automatically, to carry an existing preference forward from before this cookie existed, is never used for tracking or analytics, and is never linked to anything else you do here.
